"Lightcap nimmt uns mit auf seine Reisen und man spürt wirklich in jedem Moment des Albums, wie wichtig ihm das Thema ist und wie gern er Bilder in unseren Köpfen zum Leben erwecken möchte. Das gelingt ihm und so fühlen wir uns sehr wohl in seinen melancholischen Folk-Klängen." Soundkartell Review

about

Fly

The blue sun is sinking. The fools moon on the rise. I’m waiting for my loved one. Right by the ocean side.

The yellow sun is sinking. Towards sin and misery. The brightness of my daily thoughts. Will drown inside the sea.

The red sun is a-drifting. Into the full blue score. My lady she is misty. She’s never quite alone.

The green sun’s dissoluting. I’m craving in despair. For your bodily promise. And golden fruitful air.

The violet sun is crazy. Like the pope with a whore. Like the lady with the whip. Like the ship upon the shore.

The orange sun is mindless. It leaves me undisclosed. It leaves me in a hurry. To fuck some woman’s soul.

The pink sun is brutal. She looks like pure desire. She’s viral misty fun. A firmament’s gunfire.

The turquoise sun is babbling. She’s drunk with her own self. undresses right before me. Revealing nothing else.

The grey sun is persuasive. She’s more than just a god. Be nighttime she is the moon. By daytime she is gone.

The black sun is gone. I envy its death. It doesn’t pretend. It’s just what it is.

I envy the people who’s fun doesn’t have to be beautiful. There’s a trampoline. There’s a beach. There’s a sea.

(A poem by Sir Cosmo Roy, Blue Bay 1957)

lyrics

Another town
Another highway
Another time
She came around

We got high
We got thirsty
We got it all
And we could fly

I was so proud how she could see me
In the clouds In the sky
How I could fly

Movement cried
Through every city
Constant motion
Through the night

And like aircrafts
And like speed trains
And like freight ships
We could fly

Oh there is a veil around every bride
In the clouds in the sky
I could fly

She must've got stranded
Somewhere on the way
While I was only looking for me
And I wasn’t looking out for hеr

So I looked for her
And soon the night fеll
The seagulls
Cried her song

The winds grew
The horns blew
And I knew
She was gone

Oh there is a veil
Around every bride
Oh it's such a shame
To see her die
Oh I should have looked out
I should have smiled
How in the clouds in the sky
She could fly
